With more than 40 delegates present there was a real buzz at our One Day Workshop, which UKOWLA organised with YOWLA at the Priory Centre, York. Here the focus of the day was on positive changes in Africa which challenged more traditional views of that continent and revealed new potentials for linking.

From April 1st 2013, UKOWLA completes its transition to running on a completely voluntary basis whilst emphasising that it remains ‘business as usual’ with no paid staff whatsoever, taking us back to our origins. More…..

Taking another step forward on our social media journey, website visitors can now see an overview of UKOWLA’s recent Facebook activity on our home page and choose to ‘Like’ it from there.
Nice to see our new website working well for us, with registration of links, new members joining and sign ups for the York Conference all happening online. Let’s hope we can get some useful linking discussion going on http://www.facebook.com/UKOWLA and start to blog the kind of things that linkers want to know about and follow. More work to be done, but who knows, we could even be tweeting soon!
